recalling

the first time I listened to the radio for fun

I remember it fondly and clearly

I'm not sure what I was doing

Why I was there

but

I was in my mom's room

playing with her digital alarm clock with a built in fm/am radio

it played music

i heard a song i liked

and stayed there and listened to it

on my mom's massive king size bed

approximately 12 years old

i've never looked back.
